Kits come with watercolors or colored pencils and each have paper specific for those media. Paper for colored pencil will handle pencils, chalk pastels, etc. Watercolor paper will also work with acrylics, and other water-based medium. Oil-based medium will degrade the paper over time and are not recommended, nor is outdoor use/direct sunlight.

Use the low quality test sheets (included) to test your ideas before you settle on a final palette/design. More adventurous? Just dive right in and see what happens! If you’d like different results, there is a second option to try on the back of your high quality paper.
